The IT Service Management Forum USA (itSMF USA), one of the nation's fastest-growing IT quality management associations, Monday announced that CA has joined the itSMF USA as a new platinum-level sponsor and assumes a seat on the chapter's advisory board.

"In an increasingly technology-dependent economy, IT service quality is a critical success factor for companies in every market segment," said Robert Sterbens, director of product marketing for CA Service Management, said in a statement. "By working with itSMF USA, CA is helping to further promote understanding of what it takes to achieve IT service excellence and optimize the overall efficiency of IT operations."

"We are gratified to have CA take a lead role in helping us fulfill the very important mission we have before us," said Jean Ritala, president of the itSMF USA, said in a statement. "As both a technology and thought leader in the field of ITSM, CA's participation will be of tremendous value to the organization."

Founded in 1997, the IT Service Management Forum USA (itSMF USA) helps member organizations to achieve measurable operational excellence by introducing, developing and promoting IT Service Management best practices. In addition to practitioners, many leading IT vendors have joined the association as part of the global growth phenomenon in the area of IT Service Management and ITIL acceptance.

The itSMF USA oversees 39 local interest groups who meet to share information and learn about ITIL best practices.
