The agreement means candidates taking ITIL examinations will have maximum access to the quality training and assessment they require in order to gain certified ITIL qualifications. BCS-ISEB and EXIN deliver examination and qualification programs for IT professionals.

"Essentially it’s about working together on ITIL v3 qualifications; EXIN & ISEB have agreed to be accredited by APMG in the interests of the service management community," said Kate Winter, APMG's Public Relations Manager. "Up until 2006 EXIN and ISEB worked directly with OGC to deliver ITIL training and exams, but now they will work with APMG, which has assumed the role of accreditor on behalf of OGC. The initial contract lasts for three years."

As the service management community anticipates the arrival of the ITIL Refresh from OGC, expected in April 2007, news of this agreement will reassure enterprises committed to ITIL that the training market is unified, APMB said in a statement.
