itSMF International has introduced a number of new publications into the ITSM library.

ISO/IEC 20000 – An Introduction is a groundbreaking new guide to the international service management standard. A companion volume to the recently announced Implementing ISO/IEC 20000 Certification, the Introduction examines the basic processes and functions within IT service management and describes the key ISO/IEC 20000 concepts and definitions that are in use across the world. The book builds on this foundation

by explaining how these concepts can be applied to ANY Service Management framework.

Also announced this week are the German and Italian translations of IT Service Management based on ITIL V3 – a Pocket Guide. The Pocket Guide offers a quick reference to ITIL V3, providing an invaluable aid for all Service Managers and ITSM practitioners.

Lastly, itSMFI has announced the Japanese edition of IT Governance based on COBIT 4.0. This management guide serves two purposes. First, it offers a quick reference to IT governance for those who are new to this field of work. Second, it provides a high-level introduction to ISACA's open standard COBIT 4.0, which will encourage further study. This guide follows the process structure of COBIT 4.0 but adds supporting information.
